Rarity (pronounced Rare-ity) was named by my daughter after one of the My Little Ponies. Rarity the pony is white and a diva..so we felt the name was unique and fitting!

Background: Sweet Rarity was found dumped on a street in Texas. She was brought in by the local animal control where our rescue saw her picture online and fell in love. Her face resembled that of my personal dog. White with dots! We asked if she had any adoption interests and they said she did not and the shelter had many puppies in need of homes. We decided this beautiful gem would become a Rockers Rescue pup.

  • Female
  • Came under rescue Oct 2, 2016.
  • Around 4 months old. Can be spayed mid December.
  • Up to date on shots, has all 3 series and been dewormed.
  • On monthly trifexis for heartworm/flea/tick prevention.
  • Will be microchipped under our rescue prior to adoption.
  • Vet guesses will grow to be around 40 lbs
  • Great with other dogs, loves to play with them,  should be okay with cats as she has seen some a few times, just teach her to be gentle.
  • Loves cuddling in bed at night. She is a snuggler!!!!!!
  • Kennel trained when not home.
  • Breed:  For now we will guess dalmation and american bulldog as she seems to most resemble the two. Her nose has the dali heart shape I see on some pups. Her eyes look like she may end up having some bulldog in her. We really do not know though.
  • Still working on potty training but once she is in a home and has a schedule her family can teach her the schedule and she will learn.
  • Kids: Does great with my daughter (4 years old) BUT my daughter is tolerable with puppies and we teach Rarity as we go. My child is use to having foster puppies so every child must learn how to behave around playful puppies.
  • $100 adoption fee.

Temperament: Rarity is very sweet. She loves to snuggle in bed at night. Loves playing with other dogs. Her current friends are a large rottweiler and a pitbull! In public she is kindly bashful as it is a new situation for her. She is a little scared to walk in public but very friendly and does relax. She just needs to go out more often to learn she is safe with her owner. Rarity is curious and playful with new dogs. Excited when she sees cats but she can be around them without harming. I suggest if she is to be near cats as she grows you teach her to be respectful as you would any dog. She loves playing with toys. Plays dead when she knows she has to go in her kennel because we are leaving. haha! She is a hoot and very sweet! Enjoys relaxing on the couch.

Requirements: She is to be an indoor dog...not an outdoor dog. Fenced yard . She really loves sleeping in the bed at night. Im hoping she can find a family that may either make this exception or give her her own bed to enjoy. All of our animals are to be kept on monthly heartworm prevention. Our animals stay microchipped under our rescue and you keep your numbers updated with us. If the animal is ever found both parties will be trying to make contact with each other. This helps ensure their safety.

Rarity has a $100 adoption fee. She cannot be spayed until mid December.  If adopted before then we suggest Robinsons Rescue as it costs around $68 for a female to be spayed. Her being spayed is a requirement. Again, she is up to date on shots, has been dewormed, on monthly trifexis for heartworm/flea/tick prevention, and will be microchipped under the rescue as well.
