PLEASE NOTE:::: These puppies are olde english bulldogge mix. Mother is an olde english bulldogge and father is unknown. Please read fully before applying to adopt one of these amazing pups!  ***I'm a female.

HISTORY: While volunteering at Caddo Parish Animal Shelter we came across Momma Madeline. She was heartworm positive (not something the pups can "catch" but they do need to be put on heartworm prevention so they never get heartworms.) Madeline was to be euthanized if a rescue did not save her. Then it was discovered she was pregnant. We raised funds to bring her in for an x-ray. That time was all it took for us to fall in love. She was amazing. We personally became her foster and saved her under Rockers Rescue.

On Cinco De Mayo our precious Madeline gave birth! We have 5 pups named 1) Angelito "meaning cherub" 2) Macho Taquito "as she was a big pushy girl when born," 3) Sopapilla "after the pastry," 4) Tequila "well, after the drink," and 5) Our only boy Bearrito "that's bear and burrito combined, as he looked like both!"

  • Born May 5, 2017 (Cinco De Mayo)
  • I am the smallest of the family!
  • My name Angelito, it means Cherub, so my foster calls me her angel cherub baby!
  • I'm a sweet little girl!
  • I'm a pretty light brown with white shading.
  • Size potential unknown. Mom in 50lb range, dad unknown.
  • Our adopters for these pups should keep in contact with us, we'd love to see our babies grow! They are the first puppies born under our rescue so they are extra special.
  • Must be indoors only, cannot be put in yard even when gone to work. They are of a short nose breed meaning they cannot handle the heat well.
  • Monthly heartworm prevention is very important to us so potential adopters need to be able to afford that expense.
  • I'm a puppy. I will have to learn everything and need a home with patience and understanding. I will need potty trained, chew toys, etc. MAKE SURE you are prepared for a puppy before applying for me. While a puppy is VERY rewarding we are also a lot of work. Woof Woof!

About the breed:  While these puppies are mixed we do not know how much they will take after mom. So far they resemble mom a good bit. Mom is an olde english bulldogge in the 50lb range, dad unknown SO WE DO NOT KNOW HOW BIG THEY WILL GET.  Need to be indoor dog. Fenced yard preferred.  Link about breed: https://pethelpful.com/dogs/Is-The-Olde-English-Bulldogge-The-Right-Dog-Breed-For-You.

VETTING AND ADOPTION DONATION FEE:  The adoption donation fee will be $150.  When they are 4-6 months old owner must bring them in to be spayed/neutered through Robinsons Rescue. WE will cover the expense of the spay/neuter. This appointment is REQUIRED. They will be microchipped under the rescue (see details below).  They will be up to date on any vaccines and deworming. Usually when puppies are adopted out at 8 weeks they'll need one more shot set in about a month from then. (Some vets do two more sets). Then they will be good for a year. Follow up is required with your vet to get their plan. The adoption donation fee is tax deductible as we are a 501c3 non-profit rescue.Generally our adoption donation fees in no way cover how much was spent on the animal, it is just a way to help us continue saving lives. We are a complete volunteer non-profit rescue, meaning nobody gets paid, we focus on saving lives when able.

About Microchip: Our animals are microchipped under the rescue. By having the animals microchipped under us it provides us with a definite option of the animal being safe if found. If the pet ever goes missing you can let us know as well so we may help find them. If we ever are called on the animal being found we will try our best for 2 weeks to get in contact with the owners (as you should also be trying to get in contact with us) and if the owner is not found after 2 weeks the animal is legally ours again via our contract. This is a GREAT safety precaution for loving families. It means you will have an awesome caring team devoted to reuniting you with your baby. We ourselves have found microchipped dogs that have been rehomed and ended up in shelters on a euthanasia list. We take this very seriously as we never want that to happen to any of our animals. We also require first option of taking an animal back if the home does not work out. You can consider us a forever family for the pets adopted from us.

APPLICATION:  First email us to let us know you are filling out an application as sometimes the site glitches and it will not send, rockersrescue@gmail.com  then go to the following site to fill out the application. Include as much information as you can...we like to get to know our possible adopters!   www.adoptapet.com/rockersrescue/dogadoptionapp/.
