History:   Century was abandoned at our local Century Link Center and was found hiding under a dumpster with a broken leg. Her bone had been broken for a long time. It was so bad that they had to remove her leg. About a week after removing it there were complications and she had to go to the ER vet over the weekend and have a second surgery. Then she spent a week at our vet recovering and fighting a fever and upset tummy. Century is finally all healed up. She is a very special and lucky girl! People have done her wrong in the past but we will make sure she gets her happily ever after.

Personality: She is a pretty relaxed kitty. Did great at our last adoption events and people enjoyed loving on her. Very friendly. Does good in kitty carriers and all. Has a kitten like personality still where she will be relaxed and then be playful. We've had her around kittens and she did great. She's only been next to other kitties in her kennel at events and seemed non responsive so she would probably adjust okay to other kitties. Adapted well to dogs with time.

Century is to be an indoors kitty. <<< If you are after an indoors/outdoors or outdoors only kitty then she is not the right kitty for you. We can help find one to meet those needs though. This particular one...not it. Indoors only.

Vetting :   Century will be microchipped (that fee is included in the adoption donation fee. It is a one time fee so no yearly expenses. We will register kitten on our end then you will check your email and check the registration. From there you will get reminders to update your information. Easy peasy)  She was tested for FIV, FeLV, Heartworms and was negative (yay). Up to date on vaccinations and rabies vaccine. Fecal done and treated for upset tummy.  On 1 month revolution.   * REVOLUTION protects cats against fleas (Ctenocephalides felis), heartworms (Dirofilaria immitis), roundworms (Toxocara cati), hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) and ear mites (Otodectes cynotis).

About Applying to Adopt:  Century has a $60 adoption donation fee (microchip fee is included) This fee generally NEVER covers how much we have actually spend on the animal. (We've actually spent around $2000 saving Century!!!! It was a great hit to our rescue but she is worth it! ) We are a 501c3 non profit so the fee goes back into our volunteer rescue to help us save more lives. We function solely on donations. Step1: email rockersrescue@gmail.com and tell us that you will be filling out an application. Step 2: fill out an app at www.adoptapet.com/rockersrescue/catadoptionapp/     Please be truthful when filling out your app and include as much information as possible.

We also do not approve of declawing. We request that you research that. We have seen many cases where cats become irritable or stop using the litter box etc. and people try to surrender them to us.
