Child friendly. Children should be respectful to pet.
Enjoys his kitty friends. Not a fan of dogs right now. With time and proper teaching he may could learn to accept dogs.

History: Chess is very special to us. His story starts with his mother. His mother was brought in to a kill shelter and owner surrendered because she "kept getting pregnant." She was so scared it sent her into early labor. We rescued the family. We named her Momma Jenga and all the babies had game names. We ended up losing all of the kittens except Baby Chess.

About: Chess is very sweet. He can be nervous in new scenarios but that is typical for many kitties. He enjoys playing with toys and his kitty friends. If you already have a kitty or plan to adopt 2 that would be awesome.

Some Notes: *This kitty is to be an indoors kitty. <<< If you are after an indoors/outdoors or outdoors only kitty then this is not the right kitty for you. We can help find one to meet those needs though! Just ask. This particular one...not it. Indoors only. <3

*We also do not approve of declawing. We request that you research that. We have seen many cases where cats become irritable or stop using the litter box etc. and people try to surrender them to us.

* Please note (Our pets are in foster homes that help us save lives. If you are interested in adopting, please start by filling out an application. Once everything is cleared, we can schedule a meet at PetSmart in Shreveport or at your home. We all must understand kitties will likely be nervous at first in a new environment. If you are wanting to pick between certain kitties just let us know.)

Vetting:

Has had all 3 sets of kitten series shots and rabies vaccine.
Dewormed.
My mom was tested for Fiv/FeLV/Hw and was negative.
I was treated for sniffles when I was little.
I am neutered.
I will be Microchipped (that fee is included in kittens adoption donation fee. It is a one time fee so no yearly expenses. We use PetLink. Just ask if you have questions on how microchips work. )

About Applying to Adopt: This Kitten has an $60 adoption donation fee (microchip fee is included) This fee generally NEVER covers how much we actually spend on the animal. We are a 501c3 non profit so the fee goes back into our volunteer rescue to help us save more lives. We function solely on donations.
