Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need. Thank you for considering adoption! We are located around Shreveport, Louisiana. (Out of state adoptions ARE possible.)

When I am available: Kittens will be 8 weeks old on May 6th, 2019. They should be able to go to their new home around that time!

History: Our local shelter that has to euthanize for space told us about a pregnant black cat that needed saved. Black pets are the hardest to find homes for (search black dog syndrome) but we couldn't resist helping this girl as we had an open spot!

We named her Momma Pancake! She gave birth to 6 beautiful little black kittens. She later adopted in 3 orphaned kittens that needed a mother. We will include their family portraits. A couple of the black kittens have a tad of white but not much.

We named the Pancake Clan: Eggo (male), Waffles (male) , Biscuit, Muffin, Parfait, Beignet, Crepe, Jelly, and Kolache. Mom will also need to find a forever family.

We are searching for families that will love and adore our babies! We love updates and even have a facebook group for them too. Again, black pets are so hard to find homes for so we admire our families that adopt them!

Details/Vetting:

Kitten will have a $50 adoption donation with the following included:

Summary: Im current on all age appropriate vaccines and will be spayed/neutered when old enough, as well as microchipped. Details will be sent to interested approved parties.

What can I expect medical wise? Kittens are current on age appropriate vaccines.

Microchip: Kitten will be microchipped. It is via Petlink and their are NO fees. It is a lifetime registration.

Spay/Neuter: Kitten has spay/ neuter appointment set for when they are old enough (beginning June.) If you adopted the kitten before this date, you will need to get them to this appointment or speak with us on re-scheduling if the date isn't possible for you. Having the kitten spayed/neutered is mandatory and very important. Kittens can get pregnant as early as 4 months old! Rescue donations from kind people will cover this appointment.

Some Notes: This kitty is to be an indoors kitty. <<< If you are after an indoors/outdoors or outdoors only kitty then this is not the right kitty for you. We can help find one to meet those needs though! Just ask. This particular one...not it. Indoors only. <3

We also do not approve of declawing. We request that you research that. We have seen many cases where cats become irritable or stop using the litter box etc. and people try to surrender them to us. Nail caps can be a great aid to a kitty with scratching tendencies.

We are ran by volunteers and will try to review your application as quickly as possible. By choosing to adopt you help us open space up to save another life!

We have a 2 step process where you will fill out an application, upon approval we will email a detailed vetting/expectation informational that you also must agree to. The kittens will not be allowed to go to their new home until at least May 6th when they are 8wks old. There will be a $50 adoption donation fee. This fee generally NEVER covers how much we actually spend on the animal. We are a 501c3 non profit so the fee goes back into our volunteer rescue to help us save more lives. We function solely on donations. Steps to apply below.
