Sophie- super sweet female puppy, currently 35ish lbs and growing! Loves to be touching someone.

History: Sophie originally was found after running out in the road in front of someones vehicle. She was networked and did her legal stray hold through the local shelter. No owner ever came forth. Once her stray hold was completed we stepped in to help network her. She got a great foster home and has been getting lots of love and attention. Now we just need to find her forever family.

About: Sophie is a large breed puppy. She is super sweet! Loves rides to go get ice cream cones! Actually a ride to anywhere makes her happy. LOVES cuddling, she always wants to be touching someone. She does great with the other dogs and the baby in her home. She actually adores the little human baby, even giving him kisses. Sophie is doing well with commands. She is learning tricks, understands the terms "no" and "sit" and working on "go to crate." Loves all toys and treats. She's a happy go lucky girl. She does well in the kennel and is doing well with potty training. We like to say potty training is always going to be new in a new environment. You have to teach them your schedule. So far she's doing good so long as her fosters stay on top of telling her when to go outside. She is known to happy pee right now, which she showed us at our PetSmart adoption event, haha! That's just because she's so excited though and everything is new. With time that will subside. She loves playing in a fenced yard and that is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED of her adopters to have one. Since she is a large breed puppy, she needs to be able to get that energy out. She is NOT however, to be left outdoors alone in the yard when the owners aren't there. This baby wants to be a spoiled house dog...not a yard ornament. She has lots of sweet love to give and can't wait to find a family to treasure her.

Vetting: Up to date on yearly vaccinations and rabies vaccine. Spayed. She had a negative heartworm test and is on monthly heartworm prevention. Fecal exam. On monthly flea/tick prevention. Microchipped via PetLink (lifetime registration covered in adoption donation).

About Applying to Adopt: This pup has a $100 adoption donation fee (lifetime microchip fee is included) This fee generally NEVER covers how much we actually spend on the animal. We are a 501c3 non profit so the fee goes back into our volunteer rescue to help us save more lives. We function solely on donations.
