Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need. Thank you for considering adoption! We are located around Shreveport, Louisiana. Penny "Playful Penny" I am a gorgeous cream colored kitty wanting a forever home. About Me: I am a playful and sweet kitty! I am around 8-9 months old and was just weighed at 6.6lbs. I love to play and would love a friend to play with! I definitely get along with other kitties. I like to follow people around the house and love to snuggle in bed too! Cat trees are awesome and toys are the best! I'm not even afraid of noises like the hair dryer or vacuum. I will even give kisses/licks and will meow talk too. I travel in a carrier in cars and do great. Social and playful are good words to describe me. I even allow people to hold me like a baby and I love cuddles on the couch. History: We got Penny from a rural shelter. She had arrived there right before Christmas. She stayed there for a couple months with nobody adopting her (The shelter she was at has few adoptions due to the rural location and so many needing homes. Therefore, adorable Penny kept being overlooked by everyone.) When we first met her, they had placed her and a few others in a play room. We saw her happily running around and playing! We knew she would be super happy to have a home. Sadly, that day, there was another kitty that needed us more. We took the other kitty and as soon as she was adopted, we made plans to go back to see if Penny still needed us. On Feb 27, we returned and walked upon Penny in her kennel and she didn't seem as cheerful as she had before. She did crack us up having a toy in her water dish though,haha. We decided Penny would leave the shelter with us that day and become a Rockers Rescue kitty. She quickly came back to life when she got to our foster home! She has been playing and LOVING the attention and snuggles. This girl deserves her happy home to be a kid in! She has missed out on so many weeks of fun and love, she can't wait to have a family to spoil her big time. Some Notes: *This kitty is to be an indoors kitty. <<< If you are after an indoors/outdoors or outdoors only kitty then this is not the right kitty for you. We can help find one to meet those needs though! Just ask. This particular one...not it. Indoors only. <3 *We also do not approve of declawing. We request that you research that. We have seen many cases where cats become irritable or stop using the litter box etc. and people try to surrender them to us. * We are ran by volunteers and will try to review your application as quickly as possible. About Applying to Adopt: This Kitty has a $40 adoption donation fee. This fee generally NEVER covers how much we actually spend on the animal. We are a 501c3 non profit so the fee goes back into our volunteer rescue to help us save more lives. We function solely on donations.
