 PENDING

Be sure you see my full bio all the way to instructions on how to apply. Some sites only show a bit.  My full bio can be found at www.rockersrescue.org  . We are located around Shreveport, Louisiana and typically do private meets in PetSmart Shreveport after we have an application approved.

Lizzy is around 10 weeks old right now. Estimated birthday is March 8, 2022. She appears to be a domestic medium hair kitty. She has pretty whisps of fur. Adoption donation is $40 for approved application.

Personality: Baby Lizzy is a sweet little girl. She can be very playful.  Lizzy is litterbox trained. She is tiny and will need a few days to adjust to her new home and family. Once she feels safe, this girl is sure to rule the roost in no time. Overall she seems to be a rather quiet girl but she is very young and tiny. She is going to make such a wonderful addition to a lucky home. At the vet clinic they said she was a very good girl while they were working with her.

History: As a newborn, Lizzy was originally found with 2 other siblings at Home Depot in Bossier. She was brought to Bossier Shelter. Luckily, a momma kitty "Momma Mishka" had just finished nursing babies and she took in the orphans. The other 2 babies passed away but Lizzy survived. Our rescue visited the shelter one day and met Mishka and Lizzy (originally named Willow). We instantly fell in love with the pair and pulled them into our care. Lizzy would keep her tongue poked out a lot as a kitten, so that is how she got her name. Lizzy Lizard. Adoptive Momma Mishka was just spayed and is also being placed up for adoption. She is a beautiful dark tortie.

Other pets: Lizzy has been hanging out with Cherokee kitten and they have been having a blast. Lizzy will take a few days to warm up to new pets but that is expected for most animals.

Grooming: This kitten has medium fur. Medium hair cats often require regular brushing to prevent matting. It is important that her fur needs be considered if interested in adoption.

Spay/Neuter: Kittens will have spay/ neuter appointment set for when they are old enough. Having the kitten spayed/neutered is mandatory and very important. Kittens can get pregnant as early as 4 months old! Rescue donations from kind people will cover this appointment. We will work with you to get them to the appointment if needed.

Vetting: Began sets of kitten vaccines/deworm. Kitten is microchipped via the rescue with a PetLink chip. We have already paid the fee, so your new friend is covered for life. Had kitty FIV/FeLV testing and was negative. In a couple weeks, kitten will be old enough to be spayed/neutered and get its rabies vaccine. The rescue will schedule that appointment as well as cover the fee for the spay/neuter/ rabies vaccine, with donations.  It is required/mandatory that you bring them to their appointment. We will work with adopters to get them there if needed.

Some Notes:  *This kitty is to be an indoors kitty. <<< If you are after an indoors/outdoors or outdoors only kitty then this is not the right kitty for you. We can help find one to meet those needs though! Just ask. This particular one...not it. Indoors only. <3  *We also do not approve of declawing. We request that you research that. We have seen many cases where cats become irritable or stop using the litter box etc. and people try to surrender them to us.

About Applying to Adopt:  This pet has a $40 adoption donation fee. This fee in no way covers all of the donations used to help this animal but it does help add back a little to help with the next life. We are a 501c3 non profit rescue that functions solely with volunteers and donations.   Adoption Process:  If you want to understand our "Adoption Process" you may find that on our website at www.rockersrescue.org

HOW TO APPLY, go to  https://www.rockersrescue.org/info/adoption Please include as much about yourself as possible. Some people applying like to send an email with pictures of their home/pets/ or family. We have added a place on our app for that but if you want to send by email it is , rockersrescue@gmail.com   Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!  Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need. Thank you for considering adoption!
