NOTE: ANNIE HAS PENDING ADOPTION MEET FOR MONDAY WITH APPROVED FAMILY.

Be sure you see my FULL bio all the way to instructions on how to apply. Some sites only show a bit of bios.  My full bio can be found at www.rockersrescue.org Upon an approved application, we schedule a meet to see if yall are a great match.    Please do not apply unless you have good vet history and responsible pet ownership.

Annie- Mini Aussie (mix?) She's a rather short girl. 35lbs and est 1yr old.

History:  Annie (formerly Effie) is our girl from Texas that had sarcoptic mange. She was skinny and timid. Originally found with 2 neglected doodles. All 3 of the dogs made it to rescues from a Texas shelter (which is about 30 minutes from our directors home in Louisiana.) Sadly we did learn one of the doodles did not survive after making it to rescue. Annie was fortunate she was in better condition than the others. It took weeks and weeks for her mange to go away.... Look at Annie now! She's gorgeous.

Personality: Playful! Loves to be pet and get attention. LOVES playing with a dog friend but is a rough player! She is a herding breed and uses those herding tactics in her play. Due to this we prefer a home with herding breed experience. High energy. She's a happy playful girl. Curious about cats but doesn't really chase them. Likes to sniff them and may bark at them. Learning "sit" and "down" Knows "in" for kennel. She has some timid tendencies but is learning. Will thrive great with one on one and building her confidence.

Needs: Home with herding breed experience preferred. Patient as she learns. Fenced yard needed for her energy. No young kids as she may knock them down. Understanding of her rough play with other dogs.

Rough play: (In playful manner) will grab other dogs leg and shake it to play. Will grab at ears, neck , etc. This is how she plays and a great display of herding breed in action. She will also stalk, lay low, and charge her playmate for fun. With the right dog, they will either accept and play back or put her in her place.

House training: Has done good with house training. Adopter will need to create their own routine with her.

Kennel Training: Annie is a puppy and needs to be kenneled when you are not home. She will chew on things if given the opportunity. She does well and will go to her kennel with the "In" command.

We put multiple pictures and even videos up with each of our pets bios. BE SURE TO FIND THOSE. On our website, the video link may be at the bottom of the bio. And there may be a "click here" button to see the rest of the pictures. Either way, all should be viewable at the end of the bio on our website. We will add a video of Annie rough housing so that her rough play can be viewed by potential adopter.

Vetting: Spayed. Up to date on vaccinations and rabies. Heartworm test negative.  Dewormed/ Negative fecal. On Bravecto 3 month flea/tick prevention (Feb 8 getting next dose) . On heartguard for monthly heartworm prevention. (Due around 16th of each month currently). Treated for sarcoptic mange and had negative fecal results showing it cleared.  Microchipped with PetLink chip, rescue has already paid the lifetime membership fee.
