Baby Sky-       Be sure to read my FULL BIO all the way down to my vetting and how to apply. Not all sites will show the full bio, so if needed please go to www.rockersrescue.org and click on adoptable pets to be sure you are reading all details. The animals have multiple pictures and usually a video to view. We are located around Shreveport, Louisiana and generally meet at PetSmart Shreveport, or Hollywood Feed Shreveport.

Note: READ FULLY. The first few pics are current but we will do a photoshoot soon.

Momma Sunny was saved with 4 babies: Mom is a dilute calico. Baby Birthday est April 1, 2023    Sunrise (calico/tabby) female ,    Sky (tabby) male ,    Ray (gray/white) male - medium hair ,    Shine (cream)  male - medium hair .    Sweet playful kittens that love to nap, eat, and play. They use the litterbox. They love human attention.

Personality: SKY is the most chill kitten of the batch! He will purr and let you hold him. Loves attention. He will greet you at the door. Playful and loves toys too.  He would love a home with lots of love and snuggles. Tabbys are generally hard to find homes for, we hope this boys sweet personality and adorable looks will help him snag a forever family to spoil him!

History:     Sadly, Momma Sunny and her 4 babies were DUMPED in a cardboard box  in a field by a neighborhoods vacant road. Luckily, a maintenance worker found them! He contacted a worker. She went to get the family and move them from her porch but Sunny was scared of barking dogs and ran. When we showed up to help, we had to find Sunny. We did NOT want to take the babies and leave without her. I went around playing crying kitten sounds on my phone and a very unhappy mother emerged from the woods. It took some trickery, but we trapped her when she came back for her babies. She was highly upset but once we got her settled in at a foster home she relaxed and is a VERY sweet girl. We are so very thankful we were able to rescue the whole family. We love our little sunshine crew.

Medical: Medical: Our kittens will have started their vaccine and deworm schedule. They will have had at least 3 sets of vaccines before leaving and their spay/neuter will be done on the 13th of July. ( Kittens usually get 3 to 4 sets of vaccines total to protect them from disease. Vets generally do each set 3 to 4 weeks apart.) Negative fecal reading prior to adoption.    On monthly flea/tick prevention     . When you adopt, you will get a folder with all of their medical records to bring to your vet.      Kitten will be microchipped. It is via Petlink and there are NO fees. It is a lifetime registration and our rescue will have already paid for it.

IMPORTANT: Fiv/felv test.  Momma kitty has FIV. That means the kittens have the antibodies in them until they get bigger. This is non symptomatic because they do not actually carry it.  An Fiv test checks for antibodies, which means they will throw a positive result right now until they grow bigger and it turns negative. Usually around 3 months- up to 6 months of age, then the kitten should no longer have the anitbodies and their test will be negative.   The following link is a great read to help potential adopter understand. Because these babies came to us as newborns, it is highly likely they carry the antibodies from mom and will later test negative for Fiv.     LINK TO INFO:      http://www.kittenlady.org/fiv#:~:text=Kittens%20Can%20Receive%20FIV%20Antibodies%20From%20Their%20Mothers&text=So%20when%20you%20see%20a,or%20to%20the%20entire%20litter.   If this link does not work, please email us so we may send it.

Note: We do not approve of declawing. So if you wish to do that, please do not apply. This kitten is also to be indoors only. If you want an outdoors or indoor/outdoor kitty let us know and we can direct you.  Our pets each have multiple pictures and usually at least one video so be sure to check for those.

ADOPTION: $80 adoption donation for approved application. Our rescue spends a lot more than this fee on each life, but it is a way to help give back some to go towards the next life we help.  We are a 501c3 non profit that is 100% volunteer run. We function solely on donations from kind people. If you wish to donate more or continue following/supporting us over time, we would appreciate your continued love to help our organization save lives.

Adoption Process Summary: You apply. We will email or call if we have any questions. Upon app approval, we would schedule a day we all meet at PetSmart Shreveport or Hollywood Feed Shreveport. At that meet we would all make sure that you feel the pet is a good match for your home. If so, we run the adoption. You fill out our contract, pay your donation fee, and receive your folder with their medical records. You must bring a pet carrier to this appointment because your pet will go home with you that day if we all feel it is a great match. Woohoo!  We take your adoption picture and you head off with your new furry friend! We can often provide adoption coupons too!

Reminder be sure to read the important note regarding medical testing with these babies.

HOW TO APPLY:  Go to  https://www.rockersrescue.org/info/adoption  and find the CAT APP. Please include as much about yourself as possible. Some people applying like to send an email with pictures of their home/pets/ or family. Email is rockersrescue@gmail.com  Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives.
