The animals have multiple pictures and usually a video to view. We are located around Shreveport, Louisiana and generally meet at PetSmart Shreveport, or Hollywood Feed Shreveport.

Currently just sweet playful little babies that love to nap, eat, and play. They are using the litterbox. We've been taking pictures of them weekly as they grow.

History: Sadly, Momma Sunny and her 4 babies were DUMPED in a cardboard box in a field by a neighborhoods vacant road. Luckily, a maintenance worker found them! He contacted a worker. She went to get the family and move them from her porch but Sunny was scared of barking dogs and ran. When we showed up to help, we had to find Sunny. We did NOT want to take the babies and leave without her. I went around playing crying kitten sounds on my phone and a very unhappy mother emerged from the woods. It took some trickery, but we trapped her when she came back for her babies. She was highly upset but once we got her settled in at a foster home she relaxed and is a VERY sweet girl. We are so very thankful we were able to rescue the whole family. We love our little sunshine crew.

Medical: Our kittens will have started their vaccine and deworm schedule. They will have had 2 sets of vaccines before leaving. Kittens usually get 3 to 4 sets of vaccines total to protect them from disease. Vets generally do each set 3 to 4 weeks apart. The kittens will each have an FIV/FeLV test after weaned from mom ( see below) . We will also be sure we have a negative fecal. When large enough they can have kitten flea/tick prevention . When you adopt, you will get a folder with all of their medical records to bring to your vet. Kittens will have a scheduled spay/neuter date (see below) Kitten will be microchipped. It is via Petlink and there are NO fees. It is a lifetime registration and our rescue will have already paid for it.

IMPORTANT: Fiv/felv test. Momma kitty has FIV. That means the kittens will have it in them until they've been weaned off of mom long enough. Usually by 12 weeks of age, the kittens will no longer have it. I've also heard they can test negative after weaned for at least 2 weeks. Our current plan is to give the kittens their 2nd vaccine set and retest fiv around June 6th. If still positive, they would be tested again around the end of June (12 wks of age) Please do not apply unless you understand this and are patient. If applying, understand that kittens are fragile and anything can happen at any time even with the best of care. So far, this little family has been doing great.

Spay/Neuter: We will schedule their spay/neuter at Robinsons Rescue in Shreveport for when the babies are large enough (around 3-4 months old) We will pay for the appointment unless you wish to. It is $38 for neuter and $48 for spay. An extra $10 for rabies if not done yet. The adopter would be responsible for getting them to and from this appointment. It has early drop off and pick up times. We try to help as able. If you are not local or wish to use a different place, you may schedule this appointment elsewhere with the rescues approval but it will be at your own expense. Having the kitten spayed/neutered is mandatory and very important. Kittens can get pregnant as early as 4 months old! We also see them recover much quicker the younger they are altered.

Note: We do not approve of declawing. So if you wish to do that, please do not apply. Keep in mind the financial needs for the kittens as they still need more sets of shots as they grow. This kitten is also to be indoors only. If you want an outdoors or indoor/outdoor kitty let us know and we can direct you.

ADOPTION: $80 adoption donation for approved application. $40 of that will be donated (non refundable) upon app approval. The other $40 will be donated on the adoption meet day. Our rescue spends a lot more than this fee on each life, but it is a way to help give back some to go towards the next life we help. We are a 501c3 non profit that is 100% volunteer run. We function solely on donations from kind people. If you wish to donate more or continue following/supporting us over time, we would appreciate your continued love to help our organization save lives.

Adoption Process Summary: You apply. We will email or call if we have any questions. Upon app approval, we would schedule a day we all meet at PetSmart Shreveport or Hollywood Feed Shreveport. At that meet we would all make sure that you feel the pet is a good match for your home. If so, we run the adoption. You fill out our contract, pay your donation fee, and receive your folder with their medical records. You must bring a pet carrier to this appointment because your pet will go home with you that day if we all feel it is a great match. Woohoo! We take your adoption picture and you head off with your new furry friend! We can often provide adoption coupons too!

Reminder be sure to read the important note regarding medical and availability dates for these babies. If any apps come in around the end of May, beginning June, please be patient with us as many of our volunteers will be on trips.
