Belle. Female kitten. Dilute tortoiseshell coloring.  Est Birthday Sept. 27th, 2023.

.Story:  Rockers Rescue was at the shelter volunteering when we saw a post about a kitten all alone behind a Taco Bell and storage unit area. We headed out to look for it. When we finally found the little baby, we thought it was dead. It was  cuddled by a culvert in a ditch . Then....we saw a leg shivering!  The baby was cuddled there cold and all alone . Only around 7 weeks old. It turned toward us and looked up as if it was thinking "finally...help."  We snatched the baby up, thinking it may be feral, but to our surprise we had a sweetheart on our hands. A little girl, we named "Belle" to tie in with Taco Bell.  As we drove her away from her lonely cold world, she rubbed and meowed all over us, happy to be warm and have a friend. Little Belle got to the shelter where she got her medical started and medicine for her upper respiratory infection.

About Belle: Belle is in a foster home with other kitties and a dog. She loves snuggling with other kitties (esp Nera Nubs). Belle will also cuddle up on foster mommas chest and snuggle right next to her face sometimes. She can be a bit weary of people and is still learning to trust but we see tons of potential and improvement when she comes for snuggles. She enjoys playing and lounging. She was sick off and on for a while so it kept her under the weather. With her recent antibiotic injection she is doing much better ,gaining weight (A whopping 2.2lbs last weighed), and playing more. She is small for her age, but again working to gain weight now. She has also been treated for ringworm and is getting a treatment again to clear it prior to adoption.  Belle also had a video go a bit viral online from when we saved her. Her "reel" on our facebook page has 21.9thousand likes currently. A little star you could say. She's modest about it and doesn't flaunt it though, haha! We can't wait for a family to want our precious tiny little girl.  OH, and we like to say she has rbf...resting b**** face.  She tends to pin her ears back and give a squinty look a lot. It's just her look I reckon. She may grow out of it with time as she perks up more though. She's adorable even if she's looking at us like we're crazy sometimes, haha.

Medical: Will have multiple kitten vaccine sets. (Vets give 3-4 sets, each set being a certain amount of weeks apart.)  Dewormed/ Negative fecal reading. Fiv/felv test negative.    On monthly flea/tick prevention . Treated for upper respiratory infection. Treatment for ringworm as well (currently getting another round of meds and will be cleared prior to adoption). When you adopt, you will get a folder with all of their medical records to bring to your vet.    Kitten will be microchipped. It is via Petlink and there are NO fees. It is a lifetime registration and our rescue will have already paid for it.  Spay- Kitten is required to be spayed by 6 months of age. Our rescue generally covers this fee at Robinsons Rescue unless the adopter would like to donate toward it ($48 and $10 for rabies vaccine unless already done) The adopter will have to bring the kitten to the appointment. We schedule it for you.

Note: We do not approve of declawing. So if you wish to do that, please do not apply. Keep in mind the financial needs for the kittens as they still need more sets of shots as they grow. This kitten is also to be indoors only. If you want an outdoors or indoor/outdoor kitty let us know and we can direct you. Our pets each have multiple pictures and usually at least one video so be sure to check for those.

ADOPTION: $40 adoption donation for approved application. Our rescue spends a lot more than this fee on each life, but it is a way to help give back some to go towards the next life we help.  We are a 501c3 non profit that is 100% volunteer run. We function solely on donations from kind people. If you wish to donate more or continue following/supporting us over time, we would appreciate your continued love to help our organization save lives.

Adoption Process Summary: You apply. We will email or call if we have any questions. Upon app approval, we would schedule a day we all meet at PetSmart Shreveport or Hollywood Feed Shreveport. At that meet we would all make sure that you feel the pet is a good match for your home. If so, we run the adoption. You fill out our contract, pay your donation fee, and receive your folder with their medical records. You must bring a pet carrier to this appointment because your pet will go home with you that day if we all feel it is a great match. Woohoo!  We take your adoption picture and you head off with your new furry friend! We can often provide adoption coupons too!

HOW TO APPLY:  Go to  https://www.rockersrescue.org/info/adoption  and find the CAT APP. Please include as much about yourself as possible. Some people applying like to send an email with pictures of their home/pets/ or family. Email is rockersrescue@gmail.com  Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need. Thank you for considering adoption! Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!
