Kittens Born: Christmas Eve, Dec 24, 2023

Story: Momma Val was found in a hotel going door to door greeting people! She was making friends. She ended up rescued by Bossier City Animal Control and later gave birth at the shelter. She had 5 babies but sadly 2 passed away. A rescue up north had tagged the family and they waited for weeks to go there. Unfortunately, they didnt pass the health certificate and they couldn't go. The kittens ended up sick and needed care. Our rescue goes weekly to help network the cats at the shelter, so in the end we decided the family would come under us! We named our new Rockers babies Momma Val, Cupid, Truffle, and Lovebug. Our little Cupid ended up needing surgery but his mother and siblings are now ready for adoption.

Truffle- The calico kitten. Female. She is our current most adventurous kitten. She is beautiful like her momma. The child (10yrs old) in her foster home loves to tote her around. Loves toys and having a good time. She likes to tote certain toys around.

Lovebug- The white/black kitten. Female. She is our current most quaint and quiet baby. She is very good at the "smize" (smile with your eyes) or you can call it RBF. Whichever the case, she's adorable. A bit more timid but will come around once she has her family to love on her constantly and help continue building her confidence. Loves playing with toys.

Momma Val- Calico. A super sweet kitty that loves attention and even lets you hold her like a baby. Good at purring. Est under 1yr old. Wants to be where the people are. Not a fan of dogs running up on her...she will go hide. If a dog leaves her alone, she should adjust. Good with other cats too. She loves getting pet and wants to be near you. She has even found her way to the bed a few times. Sweet beautiful girl.

Cupid- The orange/white kitten. Male. At certain angles and with his hair brushed just right...Cupid can have a heart on his side which is so cute. It's not always prominently there but its cute when it is! Cupid is currently undergoing surgery for pectus excavatum, his sternum is turned inward. So, he is not available for adoption but we still wanted to mention our little brother.

Our babies have been using the litter box. We do suggest starting little kittens in a small space for their safety in the new home, as well as to help them learn where the litterbox and food/water is. Toys and play items are also a necessity for little baby kittens learning and playing.

Medical/Spay/Neuter: Will have multiple kitten vaccine sets. (Vets give 3-4 sets, each set being a certain amount of weeks apart.) Babies are too young for the rabies vaccine, so they usually get that at their spay neuter appointment which is explained below. Dewormed/ Negative fecal reading. Mom tested fiv/felv negative. On monthly flea/tick prevention as soon as big enough for it. Treated for upper respiratory infection and a tummy bug. When you adopt, you will get a folder with all of their medical records to bring to your vet. Kitten will be microchipped. It is via Petlink and there are NO fees. It is a lifetime registration and our rescue will have already paid for it. Spay/Neuter - Kitten is required to be spayed/neutered by 6 months of age. Our rescue generally covers this fee at Robinsons Rescue unless the adopter would like to donate toward it ($38-$48 and $10 for rabies vaccine unless already done) The adopter will have to bring the kitten to the appointment. We schedule it for you.

Note: We do not approve of declawing. So if you wish to do that, please do not apply. Keep in mind the financial needs for the kittens as they still need more sets of shots as they grow. This kitten is also to be indoors only. If you want an outdoors or indoor/outdoor kitty let us know and we can direct you.

ADOPTION: $60 adoption donation for approved application. Our rescue spends a lot more than this fee on each life, but it is a way to help give back some to go towards the next life we help. We are a 501c3 non profit that is 100% volunteer run. We function solely on donations from kind people. If you wish to donate more or continue following/supporting us over time, we would appreciate your continued love to help our organization save lives.

Adoption Process Summary: You apply. We will email or call if we have any questions. Upon app approval, we would schedule a day we all meet at PetSmart Shreveport or Hollywood Feed Shreveport. At that meet we would all make sure that you feel the pet is a good match for your home. If so, we run the adoption. You fill out our contract, pay your donation fee, and receive your folder with their medical records. You must bring a pet carrier to this appointment because your pet will go home with you that day if we all feel it is a great match. Woohoo! We take your adoption picture and you head off with your new furry friend! We can often provide adoption coupons too!
