Our pets have multiple pictures to view. On our main page, you may need to scroll down to see them. This kitten has a video to view as well.

Husky Kitten- . Male, Tabby (appears right now to be a darker marbled pattern tabby).  Birthday Est March 9, 2024.

Husky kitten is just a little boy. He is sweet and enjoys bouts of playing and nap time. He will cuddle with you, on your lap or next to you. Loves his food! He can be a talker especially about his food. Will try to be a hairdresser. Loves kitty toys and good lounging spots. Good with other kitties, good with a dog, and is around a 10yr old child. Uses litter box.

Story: Husky was originally found all alone outside of Robinsons Rescue. That is our local spay neuter clinic. The manager of Hollywood Feed found him and scooped him up. He was just a little bitty baby all alone. He was very talkative in the beginning and was dubbed the name "Husky" after the dog breed, which was also a favorite breed of his finder. Husky has been buddied up with little Noah that is also ready for adoption.

Medical: Kitten will have at least 2 rounds of vaccinations/booster vaccines. (Vets give 3-4 sets, each set being a certain amount of weeks apart.) Husky is still so small, we may keep him an extra week from his next set of vaccines (receiving 5/9/24)  Babies are too young for the rabies vaccine, so they usually get that at their spay neuter appointment which is explained below. Dewormed. On monthly flea/tick prevention if large enough to get it ( at least 2lbs) .  When you adopt, you will get a folder with their medical records to bring to your vet.  Kitten will be microchipped. It is via Petlink and there are NO fees. It is a lifetime registration and our rescue donations will have already paid for it.

Spay/Neuter - We cover this fee with donations unless you wish to cover it or help out. ($38 for male or $48 for female, plus $10 for rabies)  We alter them between 4-6 months of age. No exceptions. We will schedule this appointment with Robinsons Rescue. The adopter will have to bring the kitten to the appointment. It is generally on a Thursday and we do check with you to make sure the date works for you.

Note: We do not approve of declawing. So if you wish to do that, please do not apply. Keep in mind the financial needs for the kitten/cats. This kitten is also to be indoors only. If you want an outdoors or indoor/outdoor kitty let us know and we can direct you.

ADOPTION: $60 adoption donation for approved application. Our rescue spends a lot more than this fee on each life, but it is a way to help give back some to go towards the next life we help.  We are a 501c3 non profit that is 100% volunteer run. We function solely on donations from kind people. If you wish to donate more or continue following/supporting us over time, we would appreciate your continued love to help our organization save lives.

Adoption Process Summary: You apply. We will email or call if we have any questions. Upon app approval, we would schedule a day we all meet at PetSmart Shreveport or Hollywood Feed Shreveport. At that meet we would all make sure that you feel the pet is a good match for your home. If so, we run the adoption. You fill out our contract, pay your donation fee, and receive your folder with their medical records. You must bring a pet carrier to this appointment because your pet will go home with you that day if we all feel it is a great match. Woohoo!  We take your adoption picture and you head off with your new furry friend! We can often provide adoption coupons too!

HOW TO APPLY:  Go to  https://www.rockersrescue.org/info/adoption  and find the CAT APP. Please include as much about yourself as possible. Some people applying like to send an email with pictures of their home/pets/ or family. Email is rockersrescue@gmail.com  Our Rockers Rescue pets are currently in foster homes that help us save lives. When you choose to adopt from a rescue, you help open space for us to save another life in need. Thank you for considering adoption! Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks!
