Meet the Rockers Rescue Team! This page shows our current "long term" volunteers/ foster homes as well as our "titled pets". We are 100% volunteer and are always looking to add to our amazing team. Many of our volunteers also help other local animal organizations!  We hope you enjoy getting to know us a bit!

  1st Mascot- Grace Pibble
Mascot from 2016-2022. Grace Pibble was rescued in 2016 as a neglected puppy with mange. She was set to be euthanized but we stepped in to save her. Grace became our first mascot and was adopted by our founder/director. Her smile was infectious and she loved showing how pitbulls can be amazing pets.  Her story and images once placed us in a n ational animal photo competition hosted by Tractor Supply. She also was the face of an educational program we created called "Pointers from Pibble."  Grace enjoyed going to events to support rescues. She also was well known for riding shotgun and watching the road. People loved seeing her pictures of her riding. Grace Pibble sadly left us due to kidney failure. Gone but not forgotten. She paved the way beautifully as our first Mascot of Rockers Rescue.

  Current and 2nd Mascot- Bruce

Mascot 2024- present.   As you can imagine, losing Grace Pibble hit our hearts hard. Our founder/director needed a new riding buddy and found him at Bossier shelter one day. Bruce had ended up in kill shelters 3 times at least that we knew of. Twice to Caddo shelter and once to Bossier Shelter. His microchip told us the story of a dog that was constantly let down by humans. Our founder cried when he kissed her through the shelters gate. It was meant to be that Bruce would come to Rockers Rescue and later be announced as the Mascot! Letting go of Grace has been very difficult. I don't want to feel like I'm replacing her. Instead, we are adding to her memory in our next mascot. Bruce loves people and loves belly rubs. The public are drawn to his charm. I couldn't think of a better fit to continue Grace's legacy than with our new Rockers Rescue Mascot, Bruce!

  1st Senior Ambassador - Darcy

Senior Ambassador 2016- 2019. Darcy would be a voice for senior dogs. We first saw her in a shelter with a homemade wrap covering an eye that had protruded. She ended up joining the Rockers family to get care and was adopted by our volunteer Stephanie. We decided Darcy needed to be dubbed our Senior Ambassador. She would come to events and show people how seniors made amazing pets and deserved all the love they could get. In 2019 Darcy passed away from congestive heart failure. We adored our girl and her time with us. We will soon be deciding on our Second Senior Ambassador for Rockers Rescue. We must continue on allowing other seniors to be a light just like Darcy was.

2nd Senior Ambassador - Lexi Butterball

Senior Ambassador 2020- 2023.  Lexi Butterball came to us from Caddo shelter. She was surrendered there as a senior pet. With lots of medical care and love, our girl got to spend many years with us. She was known for being spunky, barking about anything, and hoarding toys. She did love going to events and people watching. We estimated Lexi to be at a minimum of 16 years old based on her paperwork. Losing Lexi was very hard for us. Her body was failing her. Her last outing was to the Krewe of Barkus and Meoux pet parade where she rode in a float filled with stuffed animals. She was SO happy and made so many people smile. Just as a senior ambassador should, she spread joy. We miss this precious girl and are thankful to have loved her along with so many.

Current (and 3rd) Senior Ambassador

Senior Ambassador 2024- present. We are currently looking for our 3rd Rockers Alumni to take on this precious roll.

         Megan -President/Founder/ Director:

Megan began Rockers Rescue in 2015 with the hopes of helping at least one animal. That desire blossomed into what Rockers Rescue is today, a stepping stone of love and care for animals in need.  Aside from running the rescue, Megan also fosters dogs and has been our go to for crippled kittens. She has a daughter (mini-rescuer) and husband that have been on the "rescue ride" right by her side. Megan of course loves all breeds, but she is known to be a huge lover of Cocker Spaniels. She enjoys painting/crafts and attempting to garden in her spare time.

   Claire- Vice President

Claire has been with Rockers Rescue since 2016. She has helped foster quite a few momma kitties and kittens in need. She aids us in our Medical charting as well. Claire is now on our Board of Directors. Her husband Don is also noted to volunteer and use his craftsmanship by making items for the rescue to sell for donations. Claire is known for her love of Greyhounds. She has adopted retired racing greyhounds that were under rescue.

   Charlotte-

Charlotte has also been with Rockers Rescue since 2016 . She fosters small and medium breed dogs for us. Her specialty is with seniors and emergency cases. She has been the retirement home for many of our hospice seniors which means she has a lot of love and devotion. Charlotte is known for her love of the Maltese breed. When she's not busy with the pups, she enjoys tending to her flowers, hanging out with friends, and spending time with family.

Cori-

Cori has been with Rockers Rescue since 2015  . She fosters medium to large breed dogs for us. Cori and her husband Jason are known for helping us with severe medical/emergency cases.  We've also helped bust an abuse case before with some friends! When we aren't being sneaky fighting crime or going on crazy rescue missions, Cori enjoys painting, gardening, and loves to travel with her husband. Cori actually has a travel agency now, called "The Traveling Donut."

  Melanie-

Melanie has been with Rockers Rescue since 2016. Melanie helps out with our medical charting. She often volunteers at events. Melanie is known for helping with bottle baby kittens and will often foster babies for some of our local cat rescues. When Melanie has spare time she enjoys doing crafts, playing with her kitties, and gardening.

  Stephanie-

Stephanie has been with Rockers Rescue since 2022.  Stephanie is known for being our main bottle baby momma. She helps with neonatal and ill kittens. We also volunteer with Stephanie at Bossier shelter. We go there weekly to network animals and Stephanie is their main kitten foster as well. We work hand in hand to help animals at the shelter and for our own rescue. Stephanie enjoys crafting and getting in rest when she's not busy bottle feeding! haha. She's a busy lady with lots of love to share.
